Well they say that great minds think alike, and here they’re clearly right. While I was pontificating in the commentator’s booth 500 miles from the heat of the Layer Tennis studio, Rex was literally putting Cookie’s last shot into his pipe and smoking it.
And then he got back to the computer to give us this monstrous scene.
In true British spirit Cookie's gent has retained his composure. Look, he hasn't batted an eyelid. You can take this one any way you want - as a childish rejoinder or a metaphor for life as the forces of evil encroach on civilisation.
Or am I reading too much into this? More importantly, with one layer left for each of the boys, who wins?
