Remember webrings? What ever happened to those? Oh, right. Facebook. If you're interested in some more time travel, the WebRing Directory is still tolling for thee.
Jillian's return has, um, returned the match to the flat of the screen. Flat but pulpy! It's not quite a wet tshirt -- Jennifer thanks all of you for the photo request emails, btw -- but a lady construction worker in a bikini would definitely not be out of place on the cover of a pulp novel like Hard As Nails or Some Like It Haute. (???) Three volleys, three different styles. Jillian has signaled to Jennifer that she's versatile in terms of style. Does Jennifer have another style in that bag of hers?
For those of you watching the match live, check out what the crowd has to say on Twitter. That page updates on the fly so just leave it open. Here are a couple I pulled from there recently:
@madvibes thought that Jennifer's animated GIF volley was pre-planned. "i can't help but to think that was pre-planned, but i still loved it, JD" Serious allegation! Others are saying that perhaps the match is a little too sexy...that sex is cheap and easy and that it sells. Listening to the talk in the Layer Tennis green room, I bet the competitors will amp up the sex appeal even more in the rounds to come.
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Jason Kottke.

Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark.
