Again with the time travel! Fast-forward several years and we find that our little bird is all growed up and disrespecting Momma Whale. Didn't you see that last panel, you little twerp? Your loving whale mother fed you when your real mommy was killed in the line of duty.
This is a true story. Just yesterday at work we were talking about whether whales have nipples or not. They're mammals, right? They must have them. A little post-lunch Googling confirmed our suspicions:
"When nursing, the calf suckles from nipples concealed in abdominal mammary slits."
As our story turns to whale motherhood, I had no idea that little bit of knowledge was going to come in handy today as a somewhat-related anecdote. But back to Jillian's volley here: I just love this. Everyone in the green room loved it too. Not much more to say about it. (My eyes are burning with redness from staring at the screen with no break for the past four hours. I can't wait for this to end! Come on, Jennifer, let's put this sucker in the can and go home!)
Confession: I noticed that Jillian put a little dot for the cat's butt in there. Now when I look at this volley, all I see is cat butt. What is wrong with me?
