Burning Down the House

The house is on fire, the dog is charred bratwurst and someone's pissed. Layer Tennis has begun.

Whether or not you've got a hot date tonight, welcome to a three-hour web romance between artists Sam Brown and Ted McGrath. Will the relationship go well? Will love at first sight wither to enmity at all costs? Who will finish -- dare I say climax -- on top?

Sam won the toss, earning the chance to post up the first layer of today's match. Folks, I call him a generous suitor. He doesn't want to hop in your shorts until he gets his shoes off. It's a blank canvas with a tease of a story and a little attitude (who's the "you"? How was destruction achieved? Why is the ground blue?).

There's a lot of room here for McGrath to respond, so I'm anticipating him to blast back and bring the fire out of the house with visible spit, white tigers and a glimpse of graph paper. He's a heavy lover and a loaf baker. Stay tuned.

By the way, on behalf of Adobe, Coudal Partners, and the participating artists, let me say thank you for following along, and also that you're not really following along to the match unless you're listening to "Computer Love" by Lil Kim. It's on repeat here in the Booth -- currently on its 10th play -- and it's putting loaf-baking on my brain in a really good way.

And don't forget to turn on Twitter, toss in a little #lyt and add your own commentary!
