You know how sometimes you'll be going about your day, just the average daily drill, maybe rocking the PowerPoint or weeping quietly in the men's room?
And then you come across something that makes you do a double-take? You're like: "Whaaaa?" Like that. That's what this volley did to me. I'm minding my owns, just getting in a fight with the mailman about how he doesn't respect America (cf. Jakob), and then I check my monitor and see something that is basically 90% like a dream I've had for the past thirty years.
I've gone on record, and at length, about the impact that ABBA had on my development as a young man. (Call my therapist at 1-888-FREE-XANAX for the deets.) But just to greatly simplify what is an extremely complex situation: I wanted to be Bjorn and Benny, and I wanted to do Agnetha and Anni-Frid. OK?
I know I'm not alone in this. But where I thought I was alone was in my desire to see Ag, Bjorn, Ben-Ben, and Anni depicted as eyeless Vikings. I mean, surely that was just my particular fetish, right?
But if the Internet has taught me anything, and it hasn't, it's taught me about Rule 34. And Joakim ... well, Joakim, I think we have a lot to talk about.
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Joshua Allen.
