I'm sitting here wondering how my spam filter can miss a subject line like “Your MILF update for June!” when volley 3 cranks up the ominous. “Your new beginning?” That’s more scary stuff.
We've moved from Godzilla films to Fail Safe here, a new beginning we don't want and which is beyond our control. We also have a mystery of recurring numbers. Five. Nine. Twelve. As Jason has reinvented them in this volley, they are almost like a countdown.
I have a neighbor who is a ham radio operator and the other day I asked him if he'd ever heard of Numbers Stations. He hadn't but a few days later I saw him again and he'd checked up on them and it had freaked him out. I think people reciting random numbers is always scary. The little break in the news when they announce the Lotto is like Saw to me.
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Kevin Guilfoile.

Cast your votes on The Championship Match. Both Finalists will receive invitations to play in the post-season tournament for Season Four.
Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday.
