Temple of Boom

I only told you to blow the bloody doors off!

Well, at this point I would say “I guess we can all go home now,” but on second thoughts Oeffinger just ratcheted up the game. Also, Moser is in for a beating. That’ll teach me to listen to dogs.

This is as good a volley as I’ve ever seen. It’s fast, funny, beautifully timed and animated, and I love that it introduces voice (in some form) to help tell the story, where previously we’ve only really seen the voice of the narrator. The sound design and attention to detail on the blinking lights on 'THE CHOSEN ONE!' are fantastic, but it’s the flies at the end that are totally killing me.

To get nerdy for a second, I have no idea how Oeffinger built and edited this; it looks like a lot of work. I can only hope it was one comp full of vector assets that he edits by moving the camera.

I can’t wait to see where things go from here. What do you think? Post to Twitter and include #lyt and your voice will be added to the Crowd.

Remember, two more layers each afternoon this week.
