Jason Koxvold's Layer 7 Commentary

Rise of the Robots

Oh my. Good heavens. Something is up here, there’s no doubt. We're going all Nosferatu and shit. Yes sir.

The robot runs to the roof as the family awakens, searching for their lost child. It flings the boy down into a dump truck that has arrived in the nick of time – but apparently this kid from Oeffinger’s previous round wasn’t the first to have died. There’s a WHOLE PILE OF THEM.

None of this is helped by an orchestra tuning up in the most Lynchian way.

Now, at this point I was assuming that they were going to juice the kids, but instead they just blast them to eternity, somehow harvesting their power to drive us into the next phase. And that’s kind of when it all goes pear shaped. Marching robots chanting protests at the unfulfilled promise of the dead rabbit! It’s like the death of religion.

Honestly I have no idea how to go about writing this commentary. I’m barely in control of my own sanity at this point.

Predictions for the next round, please? Tweet ’em, #lyt style.

Note: Sum up the storyline of this week's match in a single tweet and include #lyt in the message. The best one posted by the end of the day gets a huge prize package from Field Notes and Coudal Partners. Not-so-huge prizes for some runners up too.

Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Jason Koxvold.
