Dinoball Z

Sometimes I don't really like Layer Tennis. There. I said it. But I'm really and truly and genuinely enjoying this match...each volley has been very solid. And it's not just the ampersands.

Like this volley by Mark. Damn. That glowing ball of Z smack in the middle of the frame is eye-catching to say the least. This layer, along with the very first one, also by Weaver, are probably the two most striking designs of the match...which is saying a lot considering what Mig has come up with as well. But I don't want to sway any opinions one way or another here...look at the evidence for yourselves and decide accordingly.

I caught up with Mark after he finished this layer for a quick interview:

Jason: How do you think you did?

Mark: I think I did well. I felt comfortable being able to make the first layer and set the tone of the match.

Jason: How does it feel to be done?

Mark: Feels pretty awesome. Had a great time playing as always. Now I have to go pee.

Me too, Mark. Me too.

Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Jason Kottke.
