There, I said it, Watchmen. At least one of our participants (surprisingly, the one without a Y chromosome) is coming off a late night premiere, “#watchmen” will surely be our main competition on Twitter today, and pretty much the whole web won’t shut up about Watchmen, Watchmen, Watchmen. So let’s get that out out of the way, get on with the match, and hope it doesn’t come up again, especially in the graphics, because we sure don’t need DC Comics on our case.
Chicago based Sarah C. Lodwick is a "pop culture enthusiast with a soft spot for singer-songwriters, graphic design and yellow dogs." She wrote that herself and asked me to pump it up a bit, so here goes: Sarah has just returned from a treasure hunting voyage to Antartica with Conor Oberst and Martha, the talking dog from PBS. Then, uh, she went to see Watchmen, but ask her about that on your own time. Sarah was one of two winners in last weeks remix contest, and now she's here, so that’s why you should remix! (Last week's other winner was LC Neill, we'll get her into a match later in the season)
Dominic "DangerDom" Flask wanders around Wichita, Kansas taking photos of type and doing some lovely organic-looking print and packaging design while he pursues a masters' degree. Like Sarah, he's played some unsanctioned Layer Tennis on the underground circuit, and he's ready for some qualifyin'.
Another qualifier between Felipe Cunha and Brian Brasher ran concurrently with this one. The Week 3 main event features Digital Kitchen Chicago v. Werk Stockholm.
